NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER (KYTV) Springfield, MO Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for shooting and editing news, sports and feature stories on a daily basis.
• Must be capable of working alone and gathering information and interviews when necessary.
• Possess ability to shoot and edit on linear and non-linear equipment and adaptability to new technology.
• Demonstrate ability to tell stories with pictures and natural sound under a deadline.
• Capable of utilizing 3 point lighting or to learn the process.
• Capable of working well with others in challenging work environments to produce the best product for the KY3 viewer.
• Must observe all safety regulations in house and when in the field.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including one on-call night per week, as well as occasional travel
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Educational requirements:
• College degree in Communications, Journalism or related field required
• Working knowledge of television photography
• Ability to operate a field camera and live microwave (ENG) equipment required.
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions. Position calls for lifter 65-70lbs.
Licensing Requirements: Must hold a valid Missouri driver’s license and be insurable.
