NAB07

This year's NAB was an amazing adventure.

For our seventh year in a row, the
b-roll.net gang desended on the floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Our mission: Find the best new toys and gadgets for TV photographers and bring the info back to you.

• The first order of business is video coverage of the show. Our crew of Andy "focusthis" Grossman, JL "little lost robot" Watkins, Kevin "b-roll" Johnson, and Clare, walked the floor and brought back lots of tape. We are showing you a video glimpse of all the new technical innovations as well as the tried and true gear we use everyday. Keep checking back as we add more videos every day.

• Andy Grossman has organized a gallery of new product photos. Check out his collection, and submit your own by sending them to info@b-roll.net.

• For the third year in a row, Miller Camera Support threw us an exceptional party with beer and eats from Gordon Biersch.

We packed the room with at least 100 b-rollers and gave away prizes including a Miller Solopod, a Miller Tripod hard case, a Miller Solo ENG Tripod kit worth more than $4000.

The winner of the GRAND PRIZE was none other than Les Rose, a talented photographer with CBS News, and a great educator of young photojournalists around the country.

Keeping with his giving spirit, Les plans to donate the sticks to his alma mater, University of South Florida. Some initial photos can be found in the b-roll PHOTO gallery. We’ll post additional shots after we filter out the more incriminating ones. We can’t thank Miller enough for showing us a good time… and thanks to all the b-rollers who came out to play.
