Now that Thanksgiving is over, and the end of “the book” is here at last, we can all set our sights on the next big event.

I’m not talking about Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or New Year’s Eve (almost forgot Festivus). No, I’m referring to the b-roll.net AWARDS starting January 1, 2008.

As you’re packing up your tapes from your November Sweeps stories, make sure you put a few aside to enter into this year’s competition. Check out all the rules and information here…

The rules for the first annual b-roll.net AWARDS are being announced today.

Here are some basics:

• The b-roll.net AWARDS will be a year-end contest.
• There is no fee to enter, but you must be a registered member of the b-roll.net FORUM.
• All stories will have been shot between January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007.
• Participants will upload their clips to: http://b-roll.net/tv
• Clips will be judged by YOU.
• There will be a first, second and third place winner in each of 10 categories.
• There will be 3 “Best of b-roll.net” winners in 3 domestic and international divisions.
• There will be one “b-roller of the Year“
• First place in each category, along with Best of b-roll.net and b-roller of the Year will each receive a trophy and prizes.
