Best Sony BetacamSP Camera

I am wondering what the best Sony camera model was out there for BetacamSP? I seem to remember people discussing the 400 or 600, does that make sense? If anyone knows the full model number of these cameras, I would really appreciate it. Also, anyone know if there was a Sony dockable front that had a good reliable reputation?

The BVW-D600 (although a little outdated now) and the D-50WS with a PVV-3 Betacam SP backend.

The D-35 and the upgrade, D-50, are very good dockable betacam cameras.

Isn't the D50 the best dockable SONY makes? It's pretty uncomplicated. The D35 was a very good workhorse camera. The D50 is the upgrade. I hear it looks great.

They have also recently introduced the BVPE30WS. Looks like a really good (and robust) camera.

It's designed to be used in multicam, but you can put a Beta back on it.

Yeah, I just upgraded to a used D35WS I bought from a friend, with a DVCam and Beta SP back. I'm very happy with the camera head, and i'm sure the D50 is even better. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the newer Sony dockable heads, they're solid performers in my book. Of course, the D600 is a great camera as well...
