overhead scrim

Looking to add an overhead scrim/silk for some light control.
I've not used the flexfill/lastolight/wescott type products with the arm that attaches so you can mount it on a stand. Are these arms any good? I'd be worried that if the collapsable frame is used over someone it might fold up. But I like the compactness compared to a full metal frame.
I'm thinking 38" to 48".
I want to be able to cut offending lights off a head shot. I have a 24X36 flag that works fine but is a bit bulky to carry. I also have 6' X 6' frame and silk set for bigger setups. Looking for portability and small size when folded up.

So I need info on how well the arm works and brands to recommend or avoid.

Thanks...

I have 2 tools that I love to use for this kind of situation:

1) Chimera frame, 42"X42" compact
this is a segmented, bungie-corded frame that goes together quickly, is sturdy and allows you to quickly attach silks, solids, reflectors or scrims/nets (frames and fabrics also available in 6'X6' and other sizes, too)

2) Matthews Road Rags II--set of collapsable
24"X36" frames, with slide-on silks, nets, solids, etc....GREAT for travel....works just like regular 24"X36" silks, nets, etc, that you use in typical lighting/production work.

For quick stuff(and even not so quick stuff) the Chimera is a nice piece. I have a real nice 8x8 Heavy Duty Matthews, but I use the Chimera with a 1/4 grid(1/4 stop silk) 25 to 1 over it. I use it on 99% of stand-ups and live shots done outside during the day with a certain reporter that I work with all of the time. It sets up quickly, is very light, and breaks down into a very small package.

Surfin the net I found a Photoflex frame for Lite panels. More the size I am looking for at 39" X 39". They have an aluminum frame for only $60 and the diffusers are $15 each.
Don't need anything bigger for what I want to do. I have a 6' X 6' for exterior standups. Looking for the ability to flag side lights that are polluting my setups inside stadiums. Wife can sew duvatyne/velcro solid for the frame.

Anybody using the Photoflex Litepanel frames?

They have 1/4, 1/2, and full stop fabrics(diffusion) and single and double nets. The 4x4 frame is less than $150, but I haven't priced the 6x6.
