I owe everyone an apology, the b-roll.net AWARDS committee (made up of me), has been very slow to release the results of the 2011 b-roll.net AWARDS.
Thanks to Al Tompkins and his book “Aim for the Heart” for sponsoring the b-roll.net AWARDS and allowing us to send a beautiful trophy to the 2011 b-roller of the YEAR. Unfortunately, due to lack of full sponsorship, we won’t have trophies for the other awards and categories. Hopefully with a larger “committee” next year, we can rally up more sponsorship and bring back the beautiful trophies.
We’re (er, I’m ) working on pinpointing the BEST of b-roll.net and b-roller of the YEAR winners as we speak.
In the meantime, here are the category results. We had an exciting tie in the In Depth category – so the voting was tough.
Congratulations to all the winners.
Click on the individual categories to see the clips in order of their scores.
Please note: In selecting First, Second and Third Place for a particular category, only the top scoring clip from an individual was considered. Some individual photographers had two clips in the top three of a category, and in those situations, the next highest clip from a different photographer was selected.

This is an excellent opportunity for a company like Anton Bauer, B&H or Porta Brace to step up and support all of us here at b-roll.net that faithfully support them.
C’mon become a hero and earn our continued loyalty.
Or
Maybe Kevin could post the Trophy links and we could buy them individually like the Telly’s.
How sad is that?
Any verdict yet? I think we are all pretty anxious to see. Collett and I were about to beat each other up this weekend… lol. Not really…
