Long-time WFAA overnight shooter, Robert Flagg, is used to pulling up in rough neighborhoods at bewitching hours. But in his 15 years of overnights, this was a first. Late night Fourth of July revelry was turning dangerous as residents started aiming the bottle rockets at each other – rather than the sky. When Flagg arrived, they started aiming their fireworks at him. Luckily, Flagg came out relatively unscathed – with only a minor burn to the next – but with some amazing footage.
Congrats to Flagg for remaining rock solid under fire.
