I am looking for the settings to create mpeg files that will play on Precis. Don’t know why, but ones created by Compressor will play fine, after changing the extension to "mpg". I didn’t write in my notes, what the extension was before change. I did write down that you go to the Mpeg folder Setting, and pick "Transport Stream". Use the default setting, and the file will play, after you change the extension. I have read the manual for Compressor, but it doesn’t go into detail for the settings.

I use Adobe Media Encoder to create mpeg files. None of the files that I have created play on Precis, but some do play on an older G4. So, I don’t know what is special about those files. I don’t have access to FCP 7 and Compressor. Yes, it would make it easier. So, I am asking for help.

What I do know that true "Transport Streams" will not play in QT. And I know that Compressor doesn’t have HD mpeg settings like Encoder has. Bitcentral has been not been helpful. The person in charge of the server can’t answer my question either. Also, Bitcentral doesn’t have their manual posted.

What I need is the spec sheet to create mpeg files for Precis.
