I am going to be shooting a lot this month with the Canon XF305 and a Canon 5D side by side. I have timecode out of the XF305 that I can run into my TASCAM HDP2 audio recorder and my iPhone with timecode slate app. But, how do I run timecode into the Canon 5D? What I heard is that you can record timecode on one of the audio tracks. Do I need special firmware update for this? If yes, where can I download it? Can I do it with a Sennheiser G2 wirless hop or do I need to be tethered by a BNC cable? Also, can Final Cut decode the timecode on the DSLR audio track and sync it up using the multicam feature?
