I’m proudly cleaning and customizing my newly arrived HDW-F900/3. The body is in great shape, but the carry handle is scuffed up and worn. I’m interested in applying a ‘finish coat’ of something that would match Sony’s original generic gray coat.

Has anyone ever experimented with paints or other coatings? I’m thinking that it would be too hazardous to apply any spray-based paint, but that perhaps applying very thin coats with a moist cloth might work.

The trick is to approach this in a way that the results are an improvement, instead of drawing even more attention to the missing finish!
