Photog Comic Book Superhero

April 30, 2012 photog blogs

Move over, Jimmy Olsen, you are no longer the only photojournalist to ever grace the pages of a Golden Age comic book.

Newsreel and later CBS News photographer Norman Alley was the subject of a comic back in 1941. Just one small example of the sometimes excessive public fawning the mostly-forgotten photog who once held the appellation of ”the famous” had to endure in the aftermath of the USS Panay bombing

(And unlike Olsen, I don’t think Alley’s newsroom was quite as dysfunctional as the Daily Planet.)

The Norman Alley comic itself should be embedded below. If not, click here to view it.
