5d or EX3

Looking for some advice on which camera to use for an upcoming project. In short, the project is a 5-7 minute promotional video. The project will use almost all original footage that I will need to shoot, which is the tricky part for me right now. I have both a 5D and an EX3 at my disposal, which is a good problem, but I can’t decide which one to use?

I love the 5D in certain situations, but haven’t been able to fully digest the 5D Kool Aid. For the last week I’ve been doing test shots in and around my office and when I bring the footage into my NLE I can’t totally convince myself that this is the right camera for the job. Some of it is gorgeous and some of it, particularly anything with movement or real sharp edges is unwatchable. The infamous jello-effect is very prominent. Some call this a "filmic look," but I’ve never seen any films that looked this bad.

My question is which camera would the experts on B-Roll.net recommend? I’m thinking of using both. Probably mostly the EX3, with the 5D in some low-light situations and maybe for some time-lapse.

Thanks!
