We are looking at 1080i Fiber solutions. I was wondering what luck anyone has had with the following equipment which is currently on our short list.

Telecast Fiber Rattlers (USB powered. A plus)

Meridian technologies Rattler equivalent (scary power supply connection)

Aja Fido converters (how reliable?)

The camera end is what is of most concern. Has anyone had any luck securing the little things to the camera and powering them.?

I would prefer a throwdown like the Telecast Viper or Studio Technologies Live Link junior but I think that idea is being vetoed for cost.

Also what kind of HD distance are people getting over Canare LV-77S, Gepco 2001 and/or Belden 1694?
