Im sure some of you know about this but I just learned you can do this yesterday. Currently, when editing on FCP, we feed out of the laptop through a Matrox to SDI. It’s a headache to setup and use when feeding from the Teradek Bond.

What we found out yesterday is you can export your pkg out of FCP to your SxS card so that the camera recognizes the clip so you can play and feed the pkg out of your camera so you don’t need to run it through a device like a Matrox. This is using FCP7 and shooting on an EX3. The only catch is you must have the Sony XDCAM EX Transfer (Clip Browser) software installed on your Mac to be able to have the export option in FCP.
