Mervyn Freeman of Universal Newsreel seen filming a camel plowing a field on August 26, 1936 at Ken Maynard’s Diamond K Ranch outside of Hollywood. Maynard had setup a stunt on on his ranch with wild animals performing farming tasks usually done by domestic animals instead and Mervyn was assigned to go film it for the next newsreel release.

The camel was not happy with being hitched up to a plow and took its rage out on Freeman, nearly killing him in the process.
