However…
I figured I have the cash to spare and maybe I’d give it a shot…voicing some concerns as a full fledged member instead of easily being written off as a grouchy non-member just looking to cause trouble.
I was a member of the NPPA for quite a few years during the late 70’s and early 80’s. As my career progressed the group seemed to be less and less relevant. I still believe there is lots of room for improvement within the NPPA, while also admitting there are a few isolated benefits which doesn’t make paying the $110 membership price difficult…at this time.
If nothing else I’ve cut the legs out from under those who go deaf the moment they think a person is a non member and, thus, unworthy of hearing their well informed, experienced opinion.
There are some talented folk who are members and who I do respect highly. I think it will be fun to explore the joys of full membership and, maybe, even have a small hand in affecting some long overdue change.
Besides…now I get this nifty i.d. 😉
