After I discovered no one in town rents boom arms for C-stands (I was able to borrow a couple) I’ve decided I need to buy my own. Which ones do you guys prefer for two camera interviews? The 7 footers (2.1m), or the 9.5 footers (3m)?

The ones I borrowed were 7 footers, but I thought I’d check and see what others are using before I buy some.

The two I’m looking at are the Avenger D600 and the D650. There’s also the black version D600CB. Does black make much of a difference? I guess it would reduce the possibility of reflections.
