We edit on adobe premier 5.5. Shoot XDCam on sd cards. Our stringer shoots on P2. I can’t import his video into premier. Adobe won’t combine the files. Am I missing something? Or do I need to get a P2 driver installed on the laptop?

Our work around is that the P2 files are converted to a .mov on his laptop, than I grab them with my portable harddrive. Very time consuming, especiallly with breaking news. All other stations are P2. I know that you should be able to edit P2 with Adobe, or is it that Sony and Panasonic aren’t playing nice with each other.

Any help would be appreciated.
