I’m looking to buy several small handheld camcorders for my group. They don’t need to be ENG robust as they’ll be used more for corporate news type stories.

I last dug into this about 8 months ago, so obviously things have come and gone. When last I looked the Canon XA10 HD (just an example) was about the product the felt right – good manual audio control and some decent image control. $2k is the sweet spot.

Very curious to know if anyone out there has some good insight – it would be appreciated!
