To see if I can get this flash booklet thingy I found to work correctly, here’s the program booklet for the 1957 NPPA National Convention held in Washington D.C. that year.

Glancing through it, the NPPA’s convention seems very straitlaced and tame compared to the descriptions I have of a newsreel photographer’s convention that was held sometime in the mid-1930s. Long story short, apparently from recollections written by attendees of the earlier convention, the newsreelers partied hard and trashed the hotel in the process.

As for the NPPA 1957 convention, some newsfilm of the event survives and can be watched here.
