Progressive Lenses

It official, I am getting older.

After a few years of buying cheap "reader" glasses from the drug store to overcome my aging eyes I finally broke down and got my first pair of prescription eyeglasses. Due to my prescription I got Progressive lenses. I did my first shoot yesterday with my new glasses and it was not a good experience.

I was shooting a seminar and the camera was a little higher then normal to get the right shot. I have a zoom control, so usually cover these type of events by using the flip out view screen on my camera. Since the near vision portion of the glasses is near the bottom of the lens I found myself tilting my head practically to the ceiling so I could get the view screen in the right spot of the glasses.

Does anyone else shoot with progressive eyeglasses, and how does it work for you?
