I got out of news a little over a year ago, and I’m in the marketing dept. at a community college. It seems that we have some money in the budget to send a few people to conferences and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for this year.

Preferably it would have some workshops or sessions and have less focus on news production. I’m in Houston, TX, so something in the neighborhood is preferable, but travel isn’t out of the question.
