The photo on the left shows Arthur Jones recording natural sound with a rather large Western Electric microphone of the students climbing on the greased hut in an attempt to win copies of MIT’s yearbook. The other two images are of Larry Ellis (behind newsreel camera) atop the REO Speedwagon sound truck to film the festivities along with two unidentified people – a newspaper photog (with Graflex reflex camera in hand) and an unknown person.
