Since I know some of you collect books of the news photog genre, retired CBS photog Wade Bingham wrote a book recently that I became aware of.

Mr. Bingham for those who don’t recognize his name, is the last survivor I know of the handful of ex-newsreel photogs that Ed Murrow and Fred Friendly lured into working for CBS back in 1954 when they decided to abruptly end their arrangement of hiring Hearst’s newsreel crews for filming See It Now in the aftermath of an unfortunate incident involving CBS’s Don Hollenbeck and a Hearst newspaper columnist. You’ll also find Bingham listed in the credits of 60 Minutes, etc, etc.
