If you have any of the Sennheiser wireless mic gear, make sure you make a photocopy of the serial number and frequency range sticker on the back or door of the units before you send it in for service (and you will be sending them in for service). We recently sent in two EK 100 G3 receivers for repair. Sennheiser determined that they weren’t repairable and sent us two replacement units. However, they are on frequency range "B" and I sent in one "A" unit and one "G" unit. I have no independent proof of this, however, and Sennheiser service maintains that I sent in two "B" units.
So now we have a bunch of orphan equipment. Sennheiser also maintains that they are unable to look up information about their equipment based on the serial number, so it’s my word against theirs about what frequency range the equipment was on that I sent in.
My advice is to stay far away from the Sennheiser wireless mic gear. If you do own some, make sure you carefully document what you have.
