I’ve done this before, so I mention this as more “a matter of fact” than placing any importance on it.
Before and after I take off from work for anything more than a couple of days, I have to leave my take home news van at the station. Not a big deal, but it leaves me needing to find a way home.
Since I have no great fear of public transportation and since the METRO rail station is a very short walk from my front door, I’ll catch the METRO either to or from the CBS lot where I work.
Always having a camera with me, I can usually snap a few pictures on the ride. Nothing great, but at least worth sharing.
If I was trying to really push myself as a photographer, I’d probably be a little more engaging with the people who happen to be riding at the same time as me.
Don’t laugh, but when I ride the train, I imagine myself as a drifter and I enjoy feeling like I have few responsibilities or burdens.
I wish I could capture that feeling more often. When I’m driving, it mostly means I’m trying to get somewhere and I don’t get to just enjoy the ride.
Stopping downtown and having breakfast at the Pantry adds to the feeling of drifting.
I’ll have eggs (scrambled), bacon, a couple of pancakes and I was wondering if maybe you have some chores that need doing. . .
