A CNN correspondent and his shooter were roughed up by Chinese police when they strayed into a "no shoot" zone while covering the trial of a high profile Chinese dissident. Afterwards, the reporter showed his shooter’s camera after it was damaged while they both wrestled with the police before being shoved into a van while rolling on everything, having their gear confiscated and then dumped out at another location. Then, as CNN began to air the video, Chinese censors took CNN’s feed off their air to a black screen. They didn’t even have the common courtesy to post a slate. CNN rubbed their nose in it by showing a blacked out monitor in a PIP box while Anderson Cooper commented about it. Then as he was talking, the signal came back to the monitor near the end of his show. If applicable, never forget how great it is to be a free shooter everywhere and I ain’t talking about working for free either. At least in a free country your 99.9% sure you’re not going to be tortured and/or executed after being carted off to who knows where. If the CNN link doesn’t work, look for it on Youtube.
