Had a chance to go out and play in the most recent Northeast snowstorm that hit two days ago. It was about 9 degrees outside with about a 20 mph wind but I hadn’t had a chance to shoot in the snow since the most recent firmware upgrade to 3.0 several weeks ago. (I’m a couple of weeks behind my Rhode Island neighbor Doug Jensen in testing and posting F55 footage.)
I was surprised by the flickering of sodium lights, does anyone have any ideas about how to compensate? I’m going to guess shooting at a lower frame rate might help, the problem when shooting HFR is that you can only see the effect on playback. I’m sure that with experience I’ll come to learn the nuances of different light frequencies with high frame rates. The shots here are 180 fps with a base of 29.98 and was shot in 2K.
