I’m coming back after a long hiatus and would like to get back to basics and learn to become a good storyteller.

I have my own equipment and would like to produce some small independent projects to use as demo clips, documentary-stlye.

I cannot afford courses, schooling or workshops at this time unfortunately. So I need to do this from experience or what’s publicly available and am just starting to research that. I hope to be able to do that at a later date.

In your opinion, what are the elements that separate exceptional storytelling/shooting from the rest of what’s out there? What is it that makes the difference? When you’ve seen something that really made you go, ‘wow," what really struck you about it?
