Ive got a Nikon D5100 sitting on a Manfrotto 701HDV fluid video head along with Manfrotto sticks for shooting spot news freelance. Working on an NX5U or similar, but thats another story.
I have an LED on camera hotshoe mount light panel, a SD card PCM audio recorder, and just ordered a Rode NTG2 shotgun mic. Obviously – all arent going to fit on the camera’s one hotshoe mount.
Whats the best way of going about attaching these products together? L bracket, hotshoe multiplier, leg clamps, etc etc. Im somewhat new to the pro photo/video field so not completely familiar with all the products that are available.
I was thinking that the LED panel light on the cameras hotshoe or somewhere above the camera would be nice, along with the shotgun off to one side, and possibly the PCM recorder on some sort of mount off of one of the legs towards the top?
Any help is appreciated – thanks!
Matt
