Our station will be converting completely to HD very soon. Not sure of the exact date, I just know it will be some time this year. We’ve been shooting on P2 for a few years now, but recently we all got brand new HD Panasonic P2 cameras, which for the time-being are set for shooting on SD. I’ve heard rumors that it will eventually get to where we won’t be able to, or even be allowed, to use tape for anything anymore.

I would appreciate any advice or words of wisdom I can get on what to expect in this transition to HD shooting, editing, sending, and general HD workflow, from any of you who have been through it already.
