So I have heard thru the grapevine that if you buy a Sony PDW700 camera, Sony sends your name and contact number to all the networks, ESPN, ABC, etc. Supposedly, a colleague told me his buddy bought a 700 and started getting calls out of the blue, but you have to buy the camera directly from Sony.

Is this true?
