Russ Hopkins, news photographer with WNAC-TV (now called WHDH-TV) in Boston, MA covering a fire in the early 1960s. Despite receiving burns on his arm and face, Hopkins stayed to finish shooting the fire instead of leaving for treatment.

Hopkins is another one of those names from the past whom I have photos of, but no story of the photog himself. A through search online only brings up he was the Boston Press Photographers Association’s TV PoY in 1963, but nothing more beyond that.
