AJ Clemente / NBC Cheers Him On?

I am stunned this thread hasn’t been started yet. You’ve all seen it. A.J. Clemente anchors and the first words out of his mouth are "****i$g Sh#t." He got fired.

That’s where the story starts. He admits he was rightly fired.

Then why does NBC "cheer" him on? http://www.wptv.com/dpp/news/local_n…cursing-on-air

Seriously… this country has problems. If someone screws up (we all have…at least I have) and gets fired for it…it must be serious. Right? That SHOULD mean… the young man…should crawl behind a rock for a month, lick his wounds, think long and hard about the job, or their future, THEN go out and scrounge back and EARN their way into another position.

This celebrity bullsh!t that NBC and CBS is promoting… is shameful. They are actually CHEERING him on. Bull Sh#t.

Tell me I’m wrong. Sorry A.J. – I do understand you made a mistake. If I knew you personally… I would encourage you… and yes…buy you a beer. Privately. But for NBC to parade him on national television…pay for his hotel, meals, and try to get him another job…hours after dropping two FCC Fines on that station…. is shameful. NBC is exploiting his profane performance…for ratings…for their own profits.
Just as they do … a lot of crime victims.

Tell me I’m wrong. Is this an ethical issue? Is NBC "serving the public" as their ethics codes stipulate? Or are they "serving their own ratings?"
