Just came back from a meeting with a friend who happens to work at a large well known paper in my town. Apparently, this is the next plan for them to "transition" as many of their reporters as possible to shooting video.
I am not joking. Corporate managers have bought this for the entire chain of newspapers all with the idea this is how they will produce videos.
The manager, not my friend, was gushing about how easy it was going to be for them to edit on their company issued iPads and phones. My friend was embarrassed and it all just left me shaking my head at how misguided management decisions "roll downhill".
