We’re looking at acquiring some more HMI lights for field use. Currently we have two Kobold 400 watt HMI’s and are looking for recommendations for equivalent 400 watt HMI lights. What do you like or dislike about the Kobold, ARRI or Joker units or any other manufacturers. How’s the reliability, water resistance (we’re up here in the Northwest) and parts and service? Are there any other light sources that put out an equivalent amount of light? We’ve auditioned a couple of LED units but have been unimpressed with the light output.
